Horizon Line

exclusive piece for MAAT, Lisbon, 2019

sterling silver

Architecture of lines, of paths and light - MAAT fills Lisbon's riverfront with a gesture.
Several levels of spaces and directions of movements overlap and intersect in a continuous fluid. These curves are drawn by hand on paper, but also by the visitor's eye, by the paths that multiply and accentuate the aerodynamic power of the shape.
In the jewel these lines are simplified and reveal the essential, designing an abstract piece that reflects the geometry present in the drawings of the plan and the facade, but also that other more poetic one, that of the place, resting in the hand with the familiar ergonomics with which the building sits on the bank and follows the swell of the river.
